The 2 and a half weeks we spent in Morocco were like a fairy tale.
We rented a car and drove from Casablanca through the blue streets of Rabat to the Imperial city of Meknés. We enjoyed the whirling bazaar and amazing architecture of Fés. We headed south, direction Erfoud, to reach the edge of the Sahara – Merzouga – and spent a few days in the desert.
The Gorge Todra and Dades and the trip through the Ziz Valley were a welcome change after the hot dry desert days. We crossed rivers with our car, enjoyed the breathtaking landscape and spent the nights in the most beautiful kashbas along the way.
We spent a couple of days in magical Marrakesh and finished our roundtrip at the coast of the Atlantic Ocean in Essaouria.
